Gillian Tracey exhibits art at William Woods University

2012 Mar 31

Gillian Tracey of Spring, Texas, is one of 17 William Woods University seniors who are exhibiting their work in the Senior Art Show. Their art will be on display in the Mildred M. Cox Gallery through April 29.

The unprecedentedly large group led to the exhibit's theme, "The Perfect Crowd."

"It's been a rollercoaster," Amanda Almich said. "There have been some ups and downs. But this experience has made us stronger artists and that will be reflected in our show."

"'The Perfect Crowd' is a massive cooperative of unique individuals that have come together to shine, not only as solitary artists but as a representative of a whole," Scott Kronk said. "We wrestled with many ideas, but this one really seemed to fit us. No one wanted to feel lost in the crowd; we wanted to maintain our individuality while still being cohesive."

Media that are displayed include photography, painting, graphic design, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, prints, digital illustration and mixed media.

The Mildred M. Cox Gallery is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.
