Kim Siddens graduates from William Woods University

William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., held its graduation May 11. Kim Siddens of Mexico, Mo., graduated with a bachelor of social work degree.

Kathleen Kunkler, vice president and financial adviser for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Kansas City, Mo., was the undergraduate commencement speaker. A 1982 William Woods graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English communications, she is also a newly appointed member of the WWU Board of Trustees.

Graduate students heard from Julie Dill, the first person to earn a doctorate from William Woods University. She is superintendent of schools at Johnson County R-VII School District in Centerview, Mo.

A total of 340 students received diplomas. With another ceremony held in December, the combined number of WWU graduates since last May is 882.

William Woods University is an independent, professions-oriented, liberal arts-based institution serving the educational needs of both men and women. William Woods has an enrollment of about 3,200 students, and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines in both campus and outreach settings.

The 180-acre main campus is located in the mid-Missouri community of Fulton. Since its founding in 1870, the mission of William Woods has been to provide a quality education while ensuring the development of the individual.
