William Woods University Senior Kelley Martin to Display her Talents at Senior Art Show

Kelley Martin of Columbia, Mo., is one of eight William Woods University seniors displaying their talents at the Senior Art Show April 12-May 6 in the Mildred M. Cox Gallery. "Thru Our Eyes" is the exhibit's theme.

The exhibit features the works of Nicole Elliott, Fulton, Mo.; Amy Folkedahl, Weatherby Lake, Mo.; Elise Fumagalli, Washington, Mo.; Kelley Martin, Columbia, Mo.; Christine Scott, Defiance, Mo.; Jennifer Shelton, Fulton, Mo.; Jenna Sommers, Fulton, Mo., and Kaycee Wyatt, Wathena, Kan.

A public reception for the art show will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. April 12 in the Gladys Woods Kemper Center for the Arts.

"'Thru our Eyes' is a show using visual art to express our view on many different political and social issues, along with other important pieces from our journey at the Woods," Elliott said. "We feel like everyone's vision is important and should be expressed. That's why we choose 'Thru Our Eyes' as the theme for this year senior art show."

Media that will be displayed include photography, painting, graphic design, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, prints, digital illustration and mixed media.

The Mildred M. Cox Gallery is open 9-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.
