William Woods University student Ashley Bauer competes in Color Breed Congress

2015 Dec 29

Ashley Bauer of Warrenton, Missouri, 63383 competed in the Color Breed Congress in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is a senior business administration and equestrian general studies major at William Woods University.

Bauer took the Reserve Champion title in PtHA W/T Hunter Under Saddle, fourth in PtHA AM W/T Hunt Seat Equitation, sixth in PtHA AM Overo Color, sixth in PtHA AM W/T Trail and seventh in PtHA AM W/T Horsemanship.

"I love the atmosphere of being with other riders, trainers, horses, and professionals of all ages," Bauer said. "The family atmosphere that WWU creates when we travel as a group to shows is just wonderful."

Altogether, nine WWU students and university-owned horses competed Nov. 10-15 at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at the Expo Square in Tulsa. Exhibitors from all over the country compete within breeds as well as against one another in the Champion of Champion Classes.

The Color Breed Congress encompasses shows for four separate breeds into one--the Pinto Horse Association, Palomino Horse Breeders of America, Appaloosa Horse Club and American Buckskin Registry.
